Matthew 7:24-27
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into
practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The
rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against
that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the
rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put
them into practice is like a foolish man
who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose,
and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great
crash.”
The rock represence GODs foundation!
Rain, streams and wind represence attacks> e.g gossip, guilt, isolation, pride, rejection, suffering, pain etc
Meaning anything that you start if GOD is the source meaning the
foundation of it all it will surpass every counter attack that comes in
your direction because GOD was there in the beginning of it all!
Now sand represents mans own foundation!
Foolish man builds his house on sand meaning own wisdom where GOD was
not involved now when the rain< streams and wind came it could not
surpass that and now after everything has collapsed you as man now turn
to GOD ans expect GOD to start building on your own foundation! GODs
foundation and your foundation cannot stand together bacause yours is
weak!
